The automotive lab assistant assists automotive faculty in coordinating day-to-day classroom labs and to ensure safety.
Job Duties
Assists automotive faculty in coordinating day-to-day classroom labs and to ensure safety.
Prepare and maintain lab equipment and tools for student use, ensuring everything is in proper working order and adheres to safety standards.
- Organize and assist in the inventory of supplies.
- Support instructors during lab sessions by demonstrating techniques, helping students operate equipment, and providing guidance on safe practices.
- Monitor lab activities to ensure students adhere to safety procedures, properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Automotive experience.
- Ability to pass a background check, have valid U.S Driver’s license and good driving record.
Physical Demands
- The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
