What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time, Temporary Position - Donor Compliance Services position at Iowa State University Foundation Careers?
This temporary, part-time position will assist the donor compliance services team in the implementation and transition from one scholarship management system to another.
At the end of the position term of 6-9 months, the temporary staff member will have gained hands-on experience in project management, scholarship systems, donor stewardship, and organizational change.
Core Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Support consistency and efficiency in the scholarship awarding process across undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Assist in documenting scholarship workflows and operational processes.
- Develop user friendly training materials, guides, and presentations for campus scholarship coordinators.
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Financial Aid and other campus partners to support the scholarship system education and adoption.
- Support development of education strategies for graduate scholarship coordinators to improve consistency in donor stewardship.
- Assist the university with change management as it relates to the implementation of the new scholarship management system.
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
- Either currently enrolled in a graduate degree program or possess a degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, communications, education, or another related field.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Have an interest in donor stewardship, higher education administration, or nonprofit operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software and technologies.
- Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.

This position is anticipated to last 6-9 months. The position will be 20-30 hours per week at $24-26 per hour, based on experience; no benefits are offered.
