What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Parking Attendant position at Iowa State Fair?
This position is responsible for monitoring of assigned area/parking post and providing instruction and assistance with parking and or traffic flow. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Admit fair patrons with proper credentials at parking lots or denoted parking areas and drive through gates and verify valid vehicle permits.
• Always stand when greeting patrons.
• Validate and authorize credential of patron for entry into parking area of responsibility.
• Provide information and instruction to patron as comfortable. If further information necessary, refer to Information booths or Department of Public Safety. BE COURTEOUS AT ALL TIMES.
• Monitor parking lot/area you are assigned to and insure proper parking and pathway.
• May provide patron transport or escort assistance with golf cart or ISF vehicle. Will adhere to all applicable rules/laws
• Never leave your post unless relieved by another worker.
• If observe violation, contact parking supervisor via handheld radio to assist with corrective action.
