What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Vice President, Nursing Executive position at IOWA SPECIALTY HOSPITAL?
Seeking a highly driven and motivated experienced healthcare leader to provide executive
leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight of all assigned nursing and clinical services across the health system to include but not limited to VP of Surgical Services, VP of Inpatient, OB, and ED Services, Quality Coordinator, Infection Prevention Nurse, and all staff in departments that report to those Leaders.
Qualifications:
- Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Current, unrestricted Iowa Registered Nurse License.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a hospital environment, is required.
- Experience and understanding of regulatory requirements and professional practice guidelines, policies and procedures, hospital preparedness.

- Applies comprehensive knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, accreditation requirements, and regulatory standards to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of care.
- Provides effective oversight of nursing services and clinical operations, ensuring adherence to organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards while promoting accountability and excellence in patient care.
- Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives and clinical performance benchmarks to reduce risk, enhance patient safety, and improve organizational outcomes.
- Builds strong partnerships with providers, leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for improvement, drive evidence-based practice, and achieve superior patient care, safety, and clinical outcomes.
