Job Description
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, patient care areas, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Dust, mop, vacuum, sweep, and disinfect assigned areas according to established procedures.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Replenish restroom and housekeeping supplies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, and high-touch surfaces.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and ensure supplies are stocked.
- Provide friendly, courteous service to everyone within the Iowa Specialty community.
- Perform other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Required:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hospitality, or healthcare environmental services experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
