Job Description:
Behavioral Health Medical Secretary- Full Time Medical Secretary.
Primary hours are Monday- Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
No holidays or weekends.
Potential to work remotely.
Iowa Specialty Hospital behavioral health department is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered behavioral health care.
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented medical secretary to support our clinical and administrative operations.
Key responsibilities: Answer and route phone calls; Schedule and reschedule patient appointments.
Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy clinical environment. Previous experience as a medical secretary, medical receptionist, or healthcare front office staff preferred.
Experience in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment settings is a plus
