Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Epic Staff Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with exceptional attention to detail, capable of independently managing tasks and supporting staff across a variety of Epic applications. This role is responsible for training new staff, maintaining training materials and tip sheets, assisting with help desk calls, and supporting the patient MyChart call line. The successful candidate is a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys teaching others, and is passionate about ensuring staff succeed with Epic applications. They are proactive, resourceful, and consistently deliver high-quality training and support.
Responsibilities:
Deliver Epic training sessions for new and existing staff, ranging from entry-level to advanced users.
Maintain and update training documents, tip sheets, and the knowledge database to ensure accurate, current resources.
Provide support via help desk calls and patient MyChart inquiries as needed.
Assist in the development and implementation of new Epic applications.
Follow up on training initiatives and projects independently, ensuring completion without detailed step-by-step guidance.
Foster a positive, approachable, and friendly environment for staff learning and support.
Qualifications:
Ability to obtain Clinical Informatics Certification within one year of hire.
Demonstrated ability to train staff at various skill levels effectively.
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Self-motivated, able to work independently and follow through on tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; approachable, kind, and collaborative.
Experience with Epic systems preferred.
