Position Summary
Because of growth, Iowa Popcorn Company is seeking a dependable, self-motivated, and friendly Production & Sales Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who can work independently, takes pride in their work, and enjoys interacting with customers.
Responsibilities include cooking popcorn 1–3 days per week based on production needs, as well as assisting customers, packaging products, and supporting daily store operations 1–2 days per week, including some Saturdays.
This position offers a minimum of 15 hours per week with some scheduling flexibility. No evening hours are required.
Please note: November and December are our busiest months. Additional hours will be required during the holiday season to help meet customer demand.
Pay: $13–$15 per hour, based on experience. Training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook gourmet popcorn products.
- Operate, clean, and maintain popcorn-making equipment.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.
- Assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
- Package finished products for sale and distribution.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Operate the cash register and process transactions.
- Answer customer phone calls and take orders.
Qualifications
- Previous food production experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
- Food Manager Certification is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (6 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
