Position Summary
Responsible for supporting the leadership team in managing our most precious resource – our team members, their talent, and potential. This position manages the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including hiring and onboarding staff, managing employee relations, maintaining employee data, administering recognition programs, and ensuring employee engagement. Partners with vendor(s) to determine and administer employment policies, compensation (including payroll), benefits programs, and leaves of absence. Leads performance management, training, and talent development at all levels, including collaborating with managers to expand their leadership expertise. Ensures compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and best practices. Champions our core values.
Core Job Responsibilities

Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and document accurate job descriptions. Recruits, interviews, and onboards top talent who align with our mission. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Manages an onboarding experience that makes every new hire feel valued and prepared to succeed. In partnership with our outsource provider, administer human resource activities, including but not limited to compensation, payroll, benefits, and leave. Manages job changes, terminations, and offboarding. Serves as a resource for employee HR questions and support, and ensures HR processes are performed efficiently and effectively.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 5 years of human resources experience required, including experience in multiple areas of HR.
- Proven ability to coach and advise employees at all levels to improve performance, navigate challenging conversations, problem-solve, and foster a positive work environment.
- Proven attention to detail, known for implementing and managing efficient and effective processes.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
- SHRM-CP strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite of products preferred
