Working on one of the oldest, 24/7, transit systems in the world, you are guaranteed challenging and engaging construction projects that keep New York City running.In this role, your primary function is to provide scheduling support to Schedule Managers on the assigned projects. You will assist Schedule Managers in developing proposal schedules, baseline schedules, gathering schedule information for CPM updates etc. You will be responsible for monitoring projects from the ground level and providing feedback to your immediate supervisors. Keys to progression will be acquiring a moderate level of expertise on the scheduling software and developing a project baseline schedule using company's standard scheduling techniques. II. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS 4-year undergraduate degree in construction or any engineering field with preferred coursework knowledge (or equivalent industry experience).For fresh graduates, coursework knowledge in scheduling, estimation, engineering design and Building Information Modeling (BIM) is preferred. III. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist Schedule Managers in developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6Review contractual specifications, drawings & estimates to identify major scope of work, project timelines, resource requirements and sequencing including associated constraints.Gather project status information from project teams and update project scheduleReport project status to Schedule Manager and project team on a regular basis including, but not limited toStatus of critical submittals, long lead procurement items on assigned projectsDesign/construction changes and construction delays in the fieldConstruction progress from site visitsAttend internal project meetingsReport key project metrics using Power BI dashboards and other project controls reporting techniquesContribute to company's efforts in standardization of project controls and scheduling methodologies at a program level.Assist in Preparation of historical data to help create more meaningful information that can be used for project accelerationIV. QUALIFICATIONS & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES OF THE CANDIDATE:0-2 years of industry experience including internships and capstone projects. For candidates with experience, MTA project experience is preferable.Hands-on experience with scheduling tools like Oracle Primavera, MS Project is preferable.Fundamental engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or related construction disciplines.Power BI and Computational languages are highly desirable.Demonstrate problem-solving abilities using creative yet practical approach.Interpersonal skills demonstrating a consistent commitment and ability to work with diverse work groups and individuals.Visit project sites as needed.Establish goals, plan tasks and meet objectives.Handle constructive criticism from peers and mentors and steer it towards professional and personal growth.#ZRSalary Range:$90,000—$120,000 USD
