Role Description The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lansing, MI. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership, aligning people strategies with business objectives in a highly regulated, science-driven environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include advising managers on workforce planning, performance management, benefit administration, and employee engagement. The Senior HR Business Partner will oversee and improve HR processes such as talent acquisition support, onboarding, compensation, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to design and implement learning and development initiatives, succession planning efforts, and data-driven HR reporting to support company growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in HR business partnering, including organizational development, workforce planning, and strategic alignment of HR initiatives with business goals.
- Strong experience in performance management, talent management, & employee engagement.
- Knowledge of HR operations, including compensation and benefits practices, HR policies and procedures, and federal and state employment law compliance.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and drive change management in a growing or complex organization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultation skills, with the ability to build trust across all levels of the organization.
- Experience using HRIS and HR analytics to track trends, and support continuous improvement.
- Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, manufacturing, or a similarly regulated and technical industry is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field; advanced HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a plus.
