The Company:
iON Technology Solutions (iTS) is a privately-owned engineering company headquartered in Mineola, New York. The Company provides proprietarily engineered solutions to its international client base within the Semiconductor industry with a focus on the Ion Implantation process. Our patented Plasmon, Magnon, and Lepton product lines include state of the art Ion Implantation Sources and Extraction Electrodes. Additionally, iTS offers a variety of specially designed components to Semiconductor manufacturers around the World. The Company is ISO 9001:2015 certified, maintains a Class 10,000 cleanroom facility and a complete metrology lab.
The Position:
The Quality Control Technician will work alongside the Engineering and Quality Control team in our Metrology lab and will report to iTS’s Vice President of Operations. The Candidate will ensure products meet, or exceed, the customer’s specifications as it relates to form, fit and function. Additionally, the Candidate will ensure that all Metrology equipment is properly calibrated, and all ISO procedures are properly followed. The Quality Control Technician will also be responsible for ensuring that iTS’s Class 10,000 cleanroom is operating properly and that all rules are followed.
Responsibilities:
· Inspects products before, during and after the manufacturing process to ensure products meet/exceed customer’s requirements
· Program inspection routines utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)
· Complete first article inspections
· Notify vendors of Non-Conformances in a prompt fashion, after engineering evaluation
Manage the Corrective Action and Non-conformance processes through our QMS (Unipoint)
· Document Quality Test Results; communicate findings to Engineering, Procurement and Marketing team
· Investigate root-cause of customer/vendor rejections and recommend/implement corrective action if needed
Qualifications:
· High School diploma required; minimum of 3 years of Quality Control experience required
· Must be able to read mechanical drawings and have knowledge of basic Geometric Dimensions & Tolerancing
· Experience in using basic measuring tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, indicators, bore, pin and thread gauges, etc.
· Programming skills with CAD-based CMM programming is required; Knowledge of MeasureMind, Zone3, or Calypso is preferred.
· Proficiency with CAD software is not required but is preferred
Knowledge of machining, metals and plastics, fabrication, and product assembly
· Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams
· Ability to thrive in a detail-orientated environment
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
