ION: The Rinks at Compass Creek is seeking a dependable, hands-on Kitchen Manager with both front-of-house and back-of-house experience. This position is ideal for someone who can lead a small team while also cooking, serving customers, managing inventory, and operating the POS system.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of the kitchen and food-service area
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support a small staff
- Prepare and cook food while maintaining quality and consistency
- Order food, beverages, and kitchen supplies
- Monitor inventory, control waste, and manage food costs
- Receive deliveries and ensure orders are accurate
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and health department requirements
- Assist with menu planning and pricing
- Handle opening and closing responsibilities
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and special events as needed
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen management or restaurant supervisory experience
- Experience working both front of house and back of house
- Strong cooking and food-preparation skills
- Experience ordering food and managing inventory
- Comfortable using a POS system and handling payments
- Ability to lead a small team and work alongside employees
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food Manager Certification preferred or ability to obtain one
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
