AGROINOMY TECHNICIAN
Seed Sales & Grain Procurement
IOM Grain LLC is a fast-growing company specializing in high-quality, food-grade soybean supply chains. Based in Portland, Indiana, we are building a strong and sustainable network of farmers across the Midwest.
We are looking for a hands-on, driven Agronomy Technician to lead the development of our soybean production network through seed sales and grain procurement.
This is a field-first, relationship-driven role with direct impact on company growth.
🔳 YOUR ROLE
You will be at the heart of our operations, working directly with farmers to expand acreage,improve quality, and secure grain supply.
Seed Sales Development
● Promote and sell soybean seed varieties to farmers
● Build and grow a strong customer base
● Negotiate seed programs and acreage commitments
Farmer Relationship Management
● Develop long-term partnerships with producers
● Provide agronomic support and crop monitoring
● Act as a trusted advisor in the field
Grain Procurement
● Source and secure soybean production from growers
● Negotiate grain purchase agreements
● Recommend and execute pricing strategies within company guidelines
Business Development & Reporting
● Track volumes, forecasts, and pipeline
● Contribute to the company growth strategy
● Support logistics coordination when needed
🔳WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or related field
Experience
● Entry-level accepted
● Strong connection to agriculture required
● Knowledge of Midwest farming practices is a plus

You must enjoy being in the field, with farmers, every day.

● Daily field travel across the region
🔳COMPENSATION
Base Salary
● $50,000 per year
Seed Sales Commission
• 0 – 20,000 units: $0.10 per unit
• 20,001 – 40,000 units: $0.20 per unit
• 40,000 units: $0.30 per unit
Grain Procurement Commission
• 0 – 184,000 bushels: No commission
• 184,001 – 368,000 bushels: $0.03 per bushel
• 368,000 bushels: $0.06 per bushel
