Okta Engineer

Location: Remote - EST hours

Duration: 3-6 month contract with possibility of extension

Role Summary:
To support the substantial demand for Identity and Access Management (IAM) implementations in complex enterprise environments, Our Client is seeking an experienced Okta Engineer. This role is pivotal in designing, configuring, and deploying Okta solutions, including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle management. The opportunity not only offers an exciting 3-6 month contract but has the potential to evolve into a multi-year engagement with one of Our Client's prominent clients, making it a strategically significant role within the organisation.
Responsibilities:

• Implement and configure Okta components across extensive, multi-domain environments.
• Support application onboarding, SSO integrations, and identity lifecycle workflows.
• Assist in designing scalable IAM architectures and implementing security controls.
• Troubleshoot authentication, authorisation, and provisioning issues efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineering leadership to meet project milestones.
• Document configurations, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Okta in enterprise settings.
• Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including federation protocols (SAML, OIDC, OAuth), and directory services.
• Experience working with complex organisations, particularly in multi-tenant or hybrid environments.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with additional IAM solutions or related technologies would be advantageous.
• Experience in project management or Agile methodologies could strengthen an application.
