About the role
As Business Development Director – Financial Markets, you will join the US sales team and drive growth across the capital markets ecosystem. You will focus on winning new business and expanding strategic relationships with banks, broker‑dealers, trading firms, exchanges, fintechs and other market participants, selling low‑latency Network, Cloud and Managed Services solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, develop and close new business opportunities with target US financial markets clients.
- Grow revenue within existing accounts through renewals, upsell and cross‑sell.
- Build and leverage strategic partnerships (e.g. technology vendors, cloud and market data partners) to generate pipeline.
- Lead complex sales cycles from first meeting through to contract signature, coordinating internal stakeholders on solutions, commercials and delivery.
- Own proposals and RFP responses, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time submissions.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline, forecasts and activity records in the CRM.
About you
- 10 years of technology sales / business development experience within financial services or capital markets (e.g. trading infrastructure, connectivity, market data, SaaS or cloud‑based solutions).
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and closing complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise deals.
- Existing network with decision‑makers at banks, broker‑dealers, trading firms, asset managers, exchanges and/or market infrastructure providers.
- Able to engage credibly at C‑level and translate technical solutions into clear business value.
- Entrepreneurial, energetic self‑starter with a can‑do mindset who thrives in a high‑growth environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English.
