We are looking for new talent with new ideas as we continue to provide quality, service and innovation to the printing and packaging markets.Job DescriptionAs an R&D Chemist intern, candidates will immerse themselves in the colorful world of Inks and Coatings. We are seeking enthusiastic R&D Chemist interns to join our state-of-the-art Research & Development facility during this summer of 2024. This is a 90-day internship and with a target start date between May 15 - 22 through August. This internship position will engage the candidate in a broad range of chemical and material analysis methods including microscopy, spectroscopy, mechanical and physical testing. The candidate will learn concepts and practices of new product development, raw material analyses, and will help grow the candidates' professional skills as well as broaden technical experience while being an active part of INX's strong knowledge-based R&D team.Day to day activities will include, but are not limited to:Evaluating Raw Materials in finished formulations.Analyzing Raw Materials by GC/MS, FTIR, DSC, UV/Vis, GC/FID, particle size analysis, and basic microscopy methods. Performing other duties or projects as assigned.QualificationsTo be considered to this opportunity, you will be required to:Have 2-3 years of undergraduate studies completed in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with an average minimum cumulative GPA 3.0.Have completed scientific laboratory classes.Communicate effectively.Excellent reading comprehension and good math skills.Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs.Apply strong analytical skills.Additional InformationThis is a PAID INTERNSHIP with an hourly rate of $25 (40 hours a week).
