Position Summary: The QA Document Scanner will sort, process, and scan documents in the Document Management System to ensure continuous operation of the department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities to ensure the quality and safety of the product will include, but not be limited to:
- Perform scanning of documents and save them in the specified location in the Document
Management System. - Verify accuracy of entered data and file location.
- Assist in file maintenance, both electronic and hard copy, maintain document history files per established SOP’s.
- Assist in maintaining the data and document control system to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain the integrity of the company‐wide read‐only directory of electronic controlled documents.
- Read the work orders and production schedules to determine product specifications, materials to be used, weights, dimensions and tolerances.
- Responsible for inspection, sampling and other activities following SOP’s to support Quality and Operations.
- Ships customer samples domestically as needed. Communicates with Sales Department regarding shipped customer samples, shipping confirmation, etc.
- Responsible for local customer sample and retain delivery.
- Reports to work regularly and on time.
- Perform duties safely and to report unsafe conditions or actions.
- Assists in other duties as needed and directed
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Language Skills – Must be able to read and comprehend instructions and hold general conversations in English.
- Mathematical Skills – Accuracy with arithmetic and subtraction, decimals and percentages.
- Computer Skills – Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and other business‐related software.
- Ability to work well with others.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Skilled in monitoring, analyzing, critical thinking, and active listening.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, orientation to quality, problem sensitivity, problem solving, and ability to take initiation.
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures, data entry and cGMP’s
