What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer position at Inview Imaging Diagnostics?
At Inview Imaging we strive to provide the highest level of outpatient care to our patients throughout California. We are currently seeking a qualified part-time or per diem sonographer for our Fresno-area clinic.
Applicants should have an ARDMS certification or be ARDMS eligible. ARDMS must be obtained within 6 months of hire and all applicants should have successfully passed their physics exam prior to the start of employment. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience in OB and General ultrasound procedures in a clinical setting.
Compensation level is based on applicant's experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures. Perform ultrasound exams following established procedures for patient care and safety.
2. Ensure equipment is in working order. Report equipment malfunctions to Department Head.
3. Log procedures completed and processes related paperwork using RIS and PACS systems.
4. Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical and ultrasound supplies.
5. Perform basic medical assisting duties to ensure good patient flow. These include triaging and rooming patients, and assisting the front desk with scheduling questions as needed.
6. Ensure all exams achieve a radiographic interpretation by clarifying discrepancies and working with radiologists.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma/GED.
2. BLS certification required.
3. 2 years of experience or more preferred, with at least 1 year of Certification in Specialty. Acceptable Specialty Certifications: ARRT, ARDMS
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
1. Ability to communicate in English and Spanish both verbally and written
2. Excellent interpersonal skills.
3. Excellent communication skills with providers, staff, management, patients and companies.
