Title: Network Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX
Clearance: TS/SCI CI Poly
Responsibilities:
- Assess the existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements to align with federal government standards and best practices
- Design, develop, and implement advanced networking solutions
- Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, including diagrams, operation procedures, and security guidelines
- Collaborate with the security operations team to ensure compliance with federal government security requirements
- Conduct regular network infrastructure audits to identify and address potential security risks and vulnerabilities
- Optimize network performance and availability by implementing network monitoring, fault management, and load balancing solutions
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the department's network infrastructure
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to personnel as needed
- Coordinate with other federal agencies, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and technologies
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience in network engineering or administration, with a focus on federal government network environments
- Knowledge in a variety of network technologies and protocols, including LAN, WAN, wireless, data center networking, and network security
- Strong understanding of federal government security requirements, including FISMA and NIST guidelines
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant certifications, such as CCIE, CCNP, or JNCIE
- Current active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph required
