Attorney – Title Insurance / Real Estate Law (Training Provided)
Location: Clayton, MO (in-person full time)
Company: Investors Title Company
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 (negotiable based on experience)
Are you an attorney who enjoys complex legal analysis but isn’t looking for the traditional law firm path? Investors Title Company is seeking a motivated attorney with 2–3 years of experience (not necessarily in real estate) to join our team. We’ll provide full training in title insurance and real estate law.
About the Role
As an Attorney with Investors Title Company, you’ll play a key role in reviewing and analyzing closing documents and title insurance requirements to assess risk prior to closing. Your work enables us to issue accurate, compliant title insurance policies that protect our clients and their investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review closing packages, title commitments, and related documentation
- Analyze surveys, judgments, chains of title, and other legal instruments
- Evaluate legal documents such as Operating Agreements, Powers of Attorney, divorce decrees, and probate materials
- Identify and resolve title defects or legal issues prior to closing
- Collaborate with underwriters, closers, and agents to ensure smooth transactions
Who We’re Looking For
- Licensed attorney in good standing
- 2–3 years of legal experience (real estate experience is a plus, but not required)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple files
- Someone who enjoys legal analysis and practical application of law outside of traditional litigation or firm work
