What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Repair and Property Maintenance - Handyman position at Investors Realty?

This position requires a clean driving record and valid drivers license.
On call is available and will be paid in addition to hourly rate.
Tasks include but are not limited to: Maintenance of infrastructure, grounds keeping, home inventory renovations, preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment, preventative maintenance and repair of septic systems, repairs and other maintenance related tasks on a daily basis.
Infrastructure
- Maintain connections for water, sewer/septic, electric
- Prepare property for home delivery/removal
- Perform general maintenance/repairs as required based on property type
Grounds
- Mowing, edge trimming, shrub/branch trimming and general maintenance of common areas
- Snow shoveling and plowing
Home Inventory Renovations
- Repair/Clean out homes to get ready for sale
- Winterization as per procedures
- Inspect and maintain to keep ready for sale
Rentals
- Inspect for and complete maintenance issues
- Perform turn on/off process
Vehicles and Equipment
- Inspection of vehicles and equipment before and after use
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance as required
- Use vehicles and equipment in a manner to avoid damage and unnecessary repairs
Physical Demands
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 80lbs
- Must be able to stand, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, and twist repetitively
- Must be able to stand continuously for long periods
- Must be able to climb ladders and tolerate heights
- Must be able to tolerate climate changes
- Must be able to accommodate fluctuating on-call schedule
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of general construction, plumbing, electric, septic systems
- Ability to operate power tools and outdoor power equipment
- Ability to understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
