Director, Talent Acquisition β Private Markets

We are working with a leading private markets investor seeking a Director-level Talent Acquisition professional to join their Human Resources team in New York. This is a high-visibility role, partnering directly with investment leaders across asset classes to shape hiring strategy in one of the most competitive talent markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end recruitment for front-office investment teams, with a focus on private markets strategies such as ABF, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Credit.
- Advise senior stakeholders on market intelligence, competitor mapping, and long-term succession planning.
- Lead searches across multiple geographies, with a day-to-day emphasis on U.S. coverage but exposure to global mandates.
- Navigate the complexities of carried interest, LTIP, and bespoke compensation packages, ensuring competitive positioning.
- Build trusted relationships with external search partners and internal HR colleagues to deliver seamless hiring outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- 8 years of experience in talent acquisition, with a strong track record at Director level or equivalent.
- Recent or current asset management exposure is essential; private markets investment team coverage is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing senior-level and specialist searches in highly competitive markets.
- Strong understanding of complex compensation structures, including carried interest and long-term incentives.
- Comfortable operating in a hybrid model, with at least three days per week in the NYC office.
