What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salesforce Solution Architect position at InvestM Technology LLC?
Hiring: Salesforce Solution Architect
Location: Mclean VA (Hybrid 2/3 Days Onsite Required)
Duration: 6 12 Months Contract to Hire
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a pragmatic, partnership-oriented Salesforce Solution Architect to serve as a key technical advisor during this transformation. The role will work closely with business leaders, IT, Operations, Quality, Finance, commercial teams, and implementation partners to ensure that Salesforce architecture decisions support scalable operations, reliable enterprise data flow, and long-term platform governance.
This is not a standard CRM-only Salesforce role. The Architect will help shape a Salesforce-native operational ecosystem supporting biorepository workflows, sample lifecycle management, billing-related data exchange, client-facing capabilities, and integration with adjacent enterprise systems.
The right candidate will bring strong Salesforce architecture expertise, systems thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively across both business and technical audiences. Experience in life sciences, GxP, LIMS, or other regulated operational environments is highly desirable, but not required. More important is the ability to design scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions in complex transformation programs where operational workflow, data integrity, integration strategy, and stakeholder alignment all matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Salesforce architecture advisor during implementation and platform adoption
- Partner with system integrators and implementation teams to review architecture, integrations, and release decisions
- Design scalable Salesforce solutions supporting operational efficiency, data integrity, audit readiness, and long-term maintainability
- Guide integration strategy across Salesforce, SAP, finance systems, BI/reporting platforms, portals, and enterprise applications
- Establish architecture governance, release practices, security models, and environment strategies
- Support data migration, master data management, reporting, and enterprise data flow initiatives
- Communicate complex architecture concepts effectively to business and executive stakeholders
- Evaluate vendor-built Salesforce-native applications and integration approaches
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or senior Salesforce technical lead
- Deep expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, data modeling, security, automation, governance, and release management
- Strong experience with Salesforce integrations using REST APIs, Platform Events, middleware, Pub/Sub, Bulk API, and webhooks
- Familiarity with Salesforce Flow, Apex concepts, metadata, DevOps, and permission models
- Experience with enterprise systems integration and large-scale transformation programs
- Strong stakeholder communication and systems-thinking mindset
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in life sciences, healthcare, diagnostics, laboratory, biobanking, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with LIMS, sample management, chain-of-custody workflows, or clinical operations
- Exposure to GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11, or validation/compliance environments
- Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, SAP, finance, BI/reporting, data lake, portal, or enterprise platforms
- Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud and client-facing portals
- Salesforce certifications such as Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architect, or Data Architect preferred
- Interest in emerging Salesforce AI capabilities including Agentforce
