Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching and tutoring, with the ability to create engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. This role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for learners in pre-kindergarten through 1st grade. Bachelor's Degree required. Current certification a plus, but not required. Positions currently available at multiple locations throughout St. Johns County.
Duties
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that align with curriculum standards as required. Follow set curriculum as required.
- Utilize learning technology and resources to enhance the educational experience.
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to support students in their academic growth, during the school day
- Manage small groups effectively, ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with Program Director, teachers, and other educational professionals to support student development.
- Maintain records of student performance and provide feedback on areas for improvement.
- Engage with students in a way that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching, with a strong background working with young children in an educational setting.
- Background in curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and engage students.
- Familiarity with various learning technologies that can enhance the tutoring process.
