Lead Data Scientist

You will be joining InvestCloud’s newly formed AI, Data & Analytics team — a group responsible for driving increased value from the data InvestCloud captures to enable a smarter financial future for our clients.The team is focused on enabling “enhanced intelligence,” modernizing capabilities, and embedding AI and ML solutions into our next-generation advisor and client experience. This is a unique opportunity to influence a greenfield ecosystem and shape the long-term AI strategy across the enterprise.Core StackCloud: AWS (others such as GCP/Azure also valuable)Data Warehouses: Snowflake, Databricks, OracleML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learnLLM Generative AI: LangChain, LLM APIs, agentic frameworksTooling: Git, Docker, ML lifecycle tools, data processing frameworksVector Stores: (Preferred) various vector database technologiesKey ResponsibilitiesImplement applications powered by Generative AI and Machine Learning models, and deploy them into production environments.Develop and maintain datasets, feature sets, and data pipelines used for ML model training, evaluation, and inference.Analyze large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and actionable insights.Interpret ML model outputs, communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and influence decision-making.Evaluate and integrate third-party AI products or APIs to support InvestCloud’s business objectives.Stay up to date with advancements in Machine Learning, Generative AI, NLP, and LLM technologies to continuously improve model performance and platform capabilities.Ensure solutions are well-tested, documented, and aligned with InvestCloud’s standards for quality, security, and governance.Preferred Skills, Experience, and EducationMSc degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).4 years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI.Strong proficiency in Python for ML applications.Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and LLM frameworks such as LangChain.Experience working with LLMs, Generative AI, and agentic frameworks.Knowledge of feature engineering, model evaluation metrics, and ML best practices.Experience with database technologies (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and cloud-scale data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.Proven experience developing and deploying ML models in production.Experience with Docker, Git, and CI/CD development workflows.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects simultaneously.Collaborative team player committed to open communication, respect, and ownership.Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with vector database technologies for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.What We OfferJoin a diverse and international cross-functional team — including data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business analysts — building cutting-edge capabilities to power InvestCloud’s next-generation advisor and client experience.You will have the opportunity to work on high-impact AI initiatives, influence product strategy, and help define the future of AI in wealth technology.Our ValuesClient ConnectedHuman CenteredTechnology ForwardRespect IntegrityExcellenceSalary & BenefitsThe actual salary will vary based on education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
