What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: CRM Selection and Migration Plan position at Invest for Better?
This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.
We have outgrown our current CRM system - Less Annoying CRM. We made a false start migrating to Salesforce, and decided we wanted to use something simpler. We need help prioritizing our needs and identifying which CRM would best meet those needs and be relatively easy to migrate to.
Invest for Better has built a robust community of women eager to invest in alignment with their values. We have over 3000 members, about 2000 paid Circle participants, an email subscriber base of nearly 6000, several hundred volunteer Circle leaders, and about 60 donors. Our members truly value community and connection and we need more tools to help us understand, track and promote more touch points.
We gathered lots of data for the planned Salesforce migration. We've done some research on alternatives. An informed volunteer could help us prioritize our goals (beyond donor tracking, to include, for example, membership, event participation, email communications), choose a platform, and help frame the migration and integration steps. We have administrative staff to help implement it.
