Serve as a senior individual contributor on the Capital Markets Product & Business, Data & Analytics team, independently leading the design, development, and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions across Capital Markets including Counterparty Relations, Securities Lending, Governance, Syndicate, and related Capital Markets functions. Partner directly with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, data-driven deliverables that support enterprise-level strategy and executive engagement. Job Summary
Serve as a senior individual contributor on the Capital Markets Product & Business, Data & Analytics team, independently leading the design, development, and delivery of reporting and analytics solutions across Capital Markets including Counterparty Relations, Securities Lending, Governance, Syndicate, and related Capital Markets functions. Partner directly with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, data-driven deliverables that support enterprise-level strategy and executive engagement. Mentor junior team members and coordinate resources to ensure timely, high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Independently own and deliver end-to-end analytics projects, including requirements gathering and data sourcing through modeling, visualization, and stakeholder presentation—with minimal oversight
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and automated reporting pipelines leveraging SQL, Python, and Snowflake to support executive-level decision-making
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders across Capital Markets functions, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership
- Identify material gaps in source data and develop scalable solutions to resolve inconsistencies, with a focus on long-term automation over manual workarounds
- Expand, refine, and maintain the team's reporting portfolio to meet evolving business needs
- Coordinate with team members to distribute workstreams, ensure quality standards, and maintain production reporting timelines
- Mentor and develop junior analysts by providing technical guidance, code review, and structured feedback on deliverables
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data architecture, and build reusable infrastructure across the team's analytics stack
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and support special projects as needed to advance Capital Markets, Product & Business, and Counterparty Engagement objectives
- Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related function, preferably within financial services, investment management, or capital markets. 5 years preferred; exceptional candidates with 3 years will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects from scoping through delivery with minimal direction
- Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and translating complex data into executive-ready reporting
- Fluency in SQL, including stored procedures, CTEs, temp tables, and query optimization across relational databases (SQL Server, Snowflake)
- Advanced Power BI skills: semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query (M), data pipeline design, and performance tuning
- Python or R proficiency: data manipulation, automation, and integration with enterprise data sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Aladdin extracts)
- Strong stakeholder communication skills. The ability to present data-driven findings to senior leadership and cross-functional partners clearly and confidently
- Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to recognize anomalies in data and their implications for the business
- Ability to think critically, ask the right questions, and drive solutions with a bias toward action
- Effective time and project management skills; able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with AI tools and agents. The ability to leverage AI to accelerate workflows while applying independent judgment to validate, refine, and contextualize outputs
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field required
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, PMP, or similar) a plus
