The Department
This position is a member of the Systematic and Factor based Fixed Income investment team. Invesco’s Systematic and Factor Investing (SFI) team manages approximately $45 billion in systematic and factor investing strategies, across equity, fixed income, commodity, and multi-asset strategies, including over 175 custom indices managed by Invesco Indexing. The SFI team is based primarily in Atlanta, Boston, Frankfurt, and New York, with local support in offices around the globe. With live strategies dating back to 1983, Invesco has been at the forefront of quantitative and systematic investing in the industry, now with over 80 investment professionals dedicated to serving clients around the world.
Your Role
Functions this role is responsible for include model generation, strategy analysis, portfolio risk analysis, and integration of new and existing quantitative tools and databases.
You will be responsible for:
- Work with head of research to develop Invesco’s credit factor capabilities into an industry leading position
- Works with portfolio managers and other staff to develop or to enhance tools for use in investment process
- Communicates the results of models across the platform
- Write robust code for the development of quantitative tools and the improvement of existing automated workflows
- Ability to work with databases and a shared code repository
The experience you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative discipline or equivalent required.
- A Master’s degree and a CFA designation preferred.
- 1-3 years quantitative research experience, fixed income preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles of investment analysis
- Strong analytics skills including statistics and operations research
- Strong programming skills especially in the R Language and Python
- Ability to work with databases and a shared code repository
- Understanding of portfolio construction and optimization in fixed income
- Willingness to work collaboratively with researchers across different asset classes
- Ability to gather and interpret market data from various sources such as third party and in-house databases.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on details in a fast-paced work environment.
- The ability to collaborate within in a team and matrix environment is critical.
- Curiosity to learn fixed income capital markets in global credit, treasuries, structured securities included agency mortgages

Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
