Bag Room Attendant

Inverness Golf Club in Inverness, IL is looking for a Bag Room Attendant. This is seasonal position, April through October. This is a P.M. position, and will need to take over the duties of the Caddiemaster when the Caddiemaster is not present. Job description is listed below. If interested, please contact Jeff Steele at caddiemaster@igc-il.org, or 847-358-2340.Job Summary: The Bag Room Attendant is responsible for providing great customer service to our members, attending to member golf bags and cleaning the club’s golf carts.Duties/Responsibilities:A.    Opening Duties 1.    Unplug carts and place cords neatly on chargers 2.     Pull out enough carts to fill the staging area 3.     Line carts up neatly 4.     Pull members’ golf bags by starting time 5.     Check to see that all carts are clean and have pencils and scorecards in them 6.     Set up the Driving Range for the dayB.    Daily Duties 1.    All incoming carts should be sprayed down and wiped off.  All trash should be removed, and new scorecards and pencils should be added if necessary 2. Keep entire fleet clean and maintained 3.     Keep work are neat and organized 4.     Keep staging area full of carts 5.     Continue to pull member golf bags by starting time 6.     Monitor and pick the Driving Range.  Restock balls when necessaryC.   Closing Duties 1.     All carts should be clean and placed on charge for the next day 2.     Cart storage area must be clean 3. All carts must be accounted for before leaving the facility 4. Make sure all storage doors are locked 5. Pick the Driving Range and breakdown for the night 6. Put all member golf bags away in the appropriate spot 7.     Pull member golf bags needed for the next dayD.   Additional Duties 1.     The water level of all batteries must be checked and filled as needed 2.     Remove acid build up on and around batteries 3.     Clean tires and black trim periodically 4.     Wash and wax periodically 5.     Clean seats with special agent periodically 6.     Wipe the top and underside of each car periodically 7.     Send flat tires to maintenancePreferred Qualifications/Requirements-   Must be able to read/write and understand and communicate in English- Must be 17 years of age, must be able to operate a golf cart- Must be able to properly operate all golf cart cleaning equipment- Strong interpersonal skills are required- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.- OSHA requirements: o  Must be able to work in inclement weather o  Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time o  Must be able to work in small, confined spacesInverness Golf Club is a private, member-owned Club founded in 1955 on 150 acres in beautiful Inverness, Illinois.
