Service Technician

Position Summary:

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance work as assigned by the shop dispatchers. All work performed must be in accordance with dealer and manufacturers specification and standards.

• Schedule: 5 day work week - Must be available to work Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements

• Conduct vehicle inspections and notify advisors or senior technicians of any needed repairs

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues under supervision

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas and tools

• Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and systems function properly

• Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies

• Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and positive attitude

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Honda/Acura experience preferred but not necessary

• Must have automotive schooling and/or dealership experience

• Proficient computer skills

• Must be able to pass a background test/drug screening

• Must be able to remain up to date on required manufacturer training

• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and be on your feet for extended periods of time

• Must be able to lift, lower, push, leverage, and manipulate equipment and/or items weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Must be reliable

• Must be able to operate manual transmission vehicles

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record (required)

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required)

• Must be 18 years of age

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced automotive service department

• Frequent communication with technicians, advisors, and management

• Primarily indoor work environment with occasional shop floor interaction.

• Ability to stand and move around various service shops and the dealership.

• Team-oriented dealership culture focused on efficiency and customer satisfaction

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: $50,000 - $120,000 annualized (based off experience)

o Monthly spiff program
