multi-family and residential construction, based in Greensboro, NC, we deliver quality projects from
ground-up builds to full-scale renovations, and we're growing our field leadership team.
Position Overview
We're seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
You'll be the on-site leader responsible for crews, trades, schedules, materials, and change
management, ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to our standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily on-site operations and manage crews to complete tasks on schedule
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and other trades on site
- Read and interpret construction plans; perform layouts and double-check subs' layouts
- Order, schedule, and track building materials
- Track and forecast material needs and usage
- Haul and trailer materials or equipment between sites as needed
- Provide weekly project updates to management
- Handle changes and pricing; write up change orders (C/O's)
- Ensure work meets building codes and quality standards
- Manage projects from ground-up through completion and closeout
- Solve problems in the field quickly and effectively
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience
- Extensive residential construction knowledge; commercial experience a plus
- General knowledge of all divisions of construction
- Strong understanding of building materials and building codes
- Basic carpentry skills
- Basic equipment operation (skid steer, Lull, man basket)
- Ability to communicate with a Latino workforce
- Proven ability to complete projects on time and under budget
- Task-driven with strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
