Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development for second-grade students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state and school curriculum standards.
• Create a classroom environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support.
• Manage classroom behavior in a positive and constructive manner.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student success.
• Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Participate in professional development and school events as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification for Elementary Education, preferably with endorsement for 2nd grade.
• Experience teaching elementary school students, preferably 2nd grade.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Knowledge of current educational best practices and technology integration.
