Position Description:

The Program Manager is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and driving programs both internally and externally with key customers of TDK-Invensense’s rapidly growing motion sensor products. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, versatile, thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment which will focus on both driving internal engineering teams to deliver timely results, interfacing directly our sales/FAE teams and with strategic customers as needed. The program manager provides regular guidance to engineering teams whereby ensuring both customer expectations are met and at times appropriately managed. The candidate will provide timely updates to management on program status and issues/solutions to keep programs on track.

Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Team Coordination – Successfully drive a cross-functional team to formulate a plan and drive to successful results on schedule. Must be highly organized, use strategies and tactics to effectively drive engineering teams, and analytical to provide a review of customer-facing materials.
• Understand the Voice of the Customer – Directly interface with strategic customer(s) to understand and manage their expectations and requirements. Identify TDK-Invensense’s expert resources required to deliver customer requirements and meet expectations by milestone deadlines
• Deliver Customer Results – Champion the programs by rallying the engineering teams to consistently deliver high quality and on-time customer facing deliverables meeting customer expectations
• Communication and Reporting – Provide regular updates to management on program status, gaps, and where needed, provide potential solutions to bring programs back on track. Effective communication to internal and customer engineering teams.

Requirements and Skills:

• Prior hands-on experience in a project or program manager role, or previously held various product development roles in product engineering, test engineering or applications engineering
• Excellent understanding of product development stages and the responsibilities of each development team
• Strong understanding of MEMS sensors.
• Excellent communication to major customers articulating TDK-Invensense’s commitments to achieve customer requirements while balancing available resources
• Proven track record to break up long activities into intermediary delivery points to check in on engineering progress and provide regular updates to customers and internal management
• Proven ability to collaborate, work cross-functionally, and gain support to generate results and meet business unit objectives
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate to the target audience
• Previous work with motion sensor products or sensing products preferred
• Relevant work experience with BSEE; MSEE and/or MBA is a plus. Proficiency in MS Project

The starting annual base pay for this role ranges between USD $120,000.00 and $200,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent on various factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market conditions. This range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future.

This position is open to candidates based in San Jose, CA with a hybrid work requirement (on-site presence required). The role is also eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
