Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Skid Steer Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating skid steer loaders and other heavy machinery to assist with forestry mulching, shrub pulling, ground leveling. Your expertise will ensure that construction projects progress efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Support construction site activities by performing tasks such as site clearing, grading, and material handling with heavy equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to execute construction grading, paving, and utility installation projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating skid steer loaders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform routine maintenance on machinery.
- Familiarity with construction utility work such as utility locating and excavation procedures.
- Ability to adhere strictly to safety regulations including federal construction safety standards and equipment safety procedures.
- Construction site experience with a focus on grading, paving, or utility installation preferred.
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving is a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
