Field Service Representative Part-Time

Invariant Corporation is seeking a talented and motivated Field Technician with more than 5 years' experience providing system maintenance, installation, and operation in field environments. This Field Technician will be providing system support and maintenance on the Containerized Weapon System (CWS) deployed in multiple configurations both CONUS and OCONUS.
WHAT IS MY JOB
- Provide technical support to customers for operations and/or repair of machines
- Maintain electrical and mechanical equipment
- Perform on-site emergency and preventative maintenance and repair, as well as installation of CWS in a 24/7 on-call environment
- Serves as contact on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment
WHAT SKILLS, LEARNINGS, AND EXPERIENCES ARE REQUIRED
Clearance Status Required:
- Ability to acquire Secret Clearance
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for positions requiring a Security Clearance
Education Required:
Candidate must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years of providing system support in mechanical and electrical fields.
MINIMUM TRAITS AND COMPETENCIES FOR THIS POSITION
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on containerized weapon systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system malfunctions and failures.
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and security protocols.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment necessary for system maintenance.
- Document maintenance actions, system performance, and any modifications made.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to improve system reliability and performance.
- Provide technical support and training to field personnel as required.
- Maintain a high level of readiness and adaptability to work in harsh and diverse environments.
- Maintain an active Security Clearance
Preferred Skills
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent military experience.
- Experience with military weapon systems or similar defense technology.
- Certifications in relevant technical disciplines.
Requires Ability
- Some travel may be required depending on project requirements
- Work well in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment with co-workers, management, and clients
- Demonstrate innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills, and adaptive thinking
- Work independently with minimal supervision, make rational decisions, and exercise good judgment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work Environment
- Office, lab, field, and machine shop environments
- Ability to work in outdoor environment in a wide variety of weather conditions
- This role requires travel up to 100%, including international travel
- Must be available for on-call duty and extended travel in support of mission requirements
- Able to deploy to OCONUS locations
- Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing
- Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods of time at desk, in telecoms/meetings with peers, management
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at customer worksites and Invariant facilities during travel
Equipment And Machines
- Requires ability to operate electronics, computers, and other general office equipment
- Containerized Weapon System (CWS)
- CROWS advanced robotic weapon operation
Attendance
- Normal workweek is Monday through Friday
- Support will be provided as needed during this time frame, but small efforts may be required at any time to support operations

- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
