Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant for an outpatient multispecialty setting within NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital – Westchester Medical Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for exams
- Recording patient history, medications, and allergies
- Taking vital signs and performing EKGs
- Assisting with in-office procedures (biopsy, dressing changes, splinting, casting)
- Collecting and labeling specimens (urine, sputum, capillary, blood glucose, UA testing)
- Assisting with nebulizer treatments and patient care support
- Managing chart preparation, authorizations, and pharmacy refill calls
- Stocking supplies and maintaining exam rooms
- Supporting cardiology, internal medicine, and family practice clinics
- Floating to other Westchester Medical Group locations if required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- One or more years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- CMA/RMA certification preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient multispecialty environment
