INTUVA by PTS Data Center Solutions, Inc is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer, to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical systems for highly complex infrastructure and mission-critical projects.

You will be responsible for leading mechanical design efforts, collaborating across disciplines, supporting clients, and ensuring projects are executed with precision, compliance, and operational excellence. This position requires a disciplined, detail-oriented engineering professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of deliverables, and consistently produces high-quality work.

This position is designed for an experienced client-facing engineer capable of leading complex mechanical engineering efforts for mission-critical facilities, AI infrastructure, high-density cooling systems, and advanced technology environments. Candidates with consulting engineering, design-build, or mission-critical project experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

·        Lead the design and coordination of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, chilled water, hot water, steam, and controls systems for mission-critical, data center, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

·        Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR), providing signed and sealed engineering documents while ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications, budgets, schedules, and applicable code requirements.

·        Perform engineering calculations, equipment selections, load analysis, and system evaluations to deliver reliable, energy-efficient, and constructible engineering solutions.

·        Coordinate closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and construction teams throughout design, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.

·        Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings, integrated design reviews, technical presentations, proposals, and client-facing discussions to support successful project delivery and business development efforts.

·        Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting technical excellence, collaboration, accountability, and adherence to engineering standards and company processes.

·        Maintain organized and accurate engineering documentation while ensuring all work is reviewed for accuracy, quality, consistency, and operational excellence.

REQUIRED:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) (Required)

·        Active Professional Engineer (PE) License in at least one U.S. state (Required)

·        Ability to sign and seal engineering drawings and documents (Required)

·        NCEES Record in good standing preferred and strongly valued

·        Multi-state PE registrations highly preferred

·        7 years of mechanical design experience across a range of building types or mission-critical facilities

·        Expertise in ASHRAE standards, IMC, NFPA, and other applicable codes and standards

·        Proficiency with design and modeling tools (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Trace 700, Energy Plus, or similar)

·        Strong client communication skills — ability to translate technical details into actionable solutions

·        Proven experience leading projects independently

·        Experience reviewing construction documents, RFIs, and submittals

·        Strong understanding of engineering coordination and construction processes


PREFERRED:

·        Experience with data centers, mission-critical, industrial, or high-performance facility environments

·        Experience supporting AI, HPC, or high-density cooling infrastructure projects

·        Construction administration experience including RFIs, submittal reviews, and field coordination

·        Experience with commissioning, energy optimization, and fast-track/design-build project delivery environments

SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITY:

This is a hybrid role based in Oakland, NJ

This position requires a high degree of flexibility. Candidates must be willing to adjust work hours as needed, including supporting project deadlines, commissioning activities, travel, client meetings, and changing project priorities.

Travel is required depending on project assignments and client needs.


SALARY:

$145,000 – $190,000
