We are seeking a Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer to support major Army weapon and aviation systems. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of the systems throughout their lifecycle, contributing significantly to the success of a critical defense missions and ultimately, our Worldwide Warfighters. To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility. This role will directly support the DEVCOM AvMC RAM Engineering and System Assessment Division.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) Engineer to support major Army weapon and aviation systems. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability of the systems throughout their lifecycle, contributing significantly to the success of a critical defense missions and ultimately, our Worldwide Warfighters. To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility. This role will directly support the DEVCOM AvMC RAM Engineering and System Assessment Division.
Responsibilities
- Conduct RAM analyses and assessments to identify potential areas for improvement in system reliability, availability, and maintainability.
- Execute Reliability Design Activities such as Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), developing RAM requirements, reliability predictions, reliability growth program management, reliability and maintainability demonstrations
- Develop and oversee RAM-related testing to collect RAM data and ascertain demonstrated reliability.
- Support Materiel Release of these systems to include RAM requirements assessment and development of Missile Stockpile Reliability Program Plans
- Conduct regular performance assessments and trend analyses, identifying opportunities for optimization and mission enhancement.
- Monitoring key performance metrics and regularly reporting results to leadership
- Manage and Execute the Army’s Stockpile Reliability Programs for major Army Weapon Systems
- BS or a BA degree
- 2 years of related technical experience desired
- Approximately 10% travel
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
