RN Nurse Practice Educator – 14-Week Contract
Location: Camden, ME
Job Type: Contract (14 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $65–$70 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated RN Nurse Practice Educator to join our team for a 14-week assignment. The Nurse Practice Educator is responsible for supporting clinical excellence, educating staff, and ensuring ongoing competency within the nursing department. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on clinical expertise and a passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver orientation and ongoing education for nursing staff
- Assess learning needs and create individualized training plans
- Support clinical competencies, skills validation, and regulatory compliance
- Provide bedside teaching and clinical coaching to staff as needed
- Collaborate with leadership to enhance nursing performance and resident outcomes
- Conduct audits, monitor quality initiatives, and assist with process improvements
- Ensure adherence to all state and federal guidelines, facility policies, and best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation of training, competencies, and performance evaluations
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for new and existing staff
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State]
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience (LTC experience preferred)
- Previous experience as an Educator, Staff Development Coordinator, or Clinical Instructor required
- Strong knowledge of nursing regulations, clinical standards, and best practices
- Excellent communication, teaching, and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adjust to a fast-paced environment
