Staff Business Systems Analyst - Finance Systems

Intuit
San Diego, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 8/1/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/1/2026

Intuit's Finance Close Operations team sits at the intersection of financial integrity and enterprise systems governance. We own the month-end close infrastructure, maintain the configuration and controls for Intuit's most critical finance platforms, and drive transformation and automation within the broader Finance organization.

We are looking for a Staff Business Systems Analyst who can anchor our systems domain with the depth of a domain expert and the range of a transformation leader. This is not a ticket-driven support role. The person in this seat will own end-to-end configuration and controls governance across Intuit's core Finance platforms, including Blackline, Oracle R12/EBS, Kyriba, and Qlik, while simultaneously driving cross-functional initiatives that improve close quality, reduce risk, and scale Finance's operating capacity through automation and AI.

The role operates at the intersection of Finance, Engineering, Data, and SOX/Audit and carries high organizational visibility into the CAO and CFO functions.

Responsibilities

What You'll Own

Systems Configuration & Controls Governance

  • Own end-to-end configuration management for Intuit's core Finance systems: Blackline (reconciliations, task manager, journal entry controls), Oracle R12/EBS (chart of accounts, reporting hierarchies, access role design), Kyriba (treasury operations, cash management, bank connectivity, and payment controls), and Qlik (Finance reporting environments, data model integrity, access governance)
  • Maintain SOX ITGCs and application-level controls for all systems in scope; partner with Internal Audit and SOX PMO on walkthroughs, evidence, and control design improvements
  • Serve as the systems subject matter expert for user access reviews, role design, and segregation of duties analysis across Oracle R12 and Blackline; maintain documentation required for SOX walkthroughs and ITGC testing

Close Operations & SLA Governance

  • Partner with the month-end close operations lead to maintain and improve the close SLA infrastructure: tracking frameworks, trigger-to-report latency measurement, and leadership reporting
  • Identify systemic close execution issues, diagnose root causes in system configuration or process design, and drive resolution through structured change management
  • Support the Day 3/Day 4 close model and intercompany elimination timing workstreams as a key systems resource
  • Maintain operational readiness across all Finance systems during close windows, coordinating with Engineering, IT, and vendor support as needed

Automation & Transformation

  • Lead system-side delivery for Finance close and reporting automation initiatives, translating business requirements into system configurations, workflow designs, and integration specs
  • Contribute to Intuit's Finance AI Program by identifying high-ROI automation opportunities within the close and controls domain, and supporting AI capability deployment in partnership with the Finance AI program lead
  • Drive process transformation that measurably reduces manual effort, close risk, or cycle time across the Finance organization

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

Required Experience

  • 7 years in a business systems, finance systems, or enterprise applications role supporting Finance operations at a large, complex company
  • Deep, hands-on configuration expertise in at least two of the following: Blackline, Oracle R12/EBS, Kyriba, Qlik, or comparable enterprise Finance platforms; breadth across multiple systems strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ownership of SOX ITGC controls for Finance applications, including participation in audits, walkthroughs, and control design
  • Experience owning system configuration changes through a formal change management process in a SOX environment
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives independently, from requirements through deployment, without day-to-day management oversight
  • Strong analytical and data skills; ability to work with SQL, Qlik, or other reporting tools to diagnose issues and validate data accuracy
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools to accelerate personal productivity and work quality: this is not a nice-to-have at Intuit; we expect Staff-level contributors to have a working AI practice and a point of view on where AI fits and where it introduces risk

Staff-Level Differentiators

At Staff, we expect you to bring architectural thinking to the systems domain, not just configuration execution. Specifically:

  • You can evaluate whether a control design, system configuration, or process architecture is structurally sound, not just whether it works today
  • You operate as the go-to systems authority for Finance leadership, Engineering partners, and External Audit without escalation
  • You identify problems that don't yet have a ticket, and build durable solutions rather than point fixes
  • You bring an active AI practice to your work: you use available tools to move faster, produce better analysis, and think through where automation changes the control or risk equation in Finance systems
  • You can move between technical depth (system configuration, data tracing, control testing) and strategic framing (executive briefings, cross-functional program leadership) fluidly

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep familiarity with Intuit's core Finance tech stack: Blackline, Oracle R12/EBS, Kyriba, and Qlik
  • Experience with Plan to Perform transformation programs, including chart of accounts redesign, Finance system consolidation, or Oracle Cloud (Fusion) migration; familiarity with the data migration, control re-design, and change management demands these programs carry
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud/Fusion as a migration target or production environment, particularly in a SOX-controlled Finance context
  • Active, applied use of AI tools in a Finance or systems context: prompt engineering for documentation or analysis, AI-assisted workflow design, or experience evaluating where large language models add value versus introduce risk in Finance processes
  • Intuit's Finance organization has access to a broad AI toolkit including Google Gemini, ChatGPT, and Anthropic-powered tools (Claude chat, Claude Code, Cowork, and Claude for design); comfort experimenting across platforms and a point of view on appropriate use in controlled Finance environments is a plus
  • Experience supporting an earnings release or external reporting process in a public company Finance environment
  • CPA, CISA, or equivalent certification a plus but not required

Why This Role

Finance Close Operations is one of the most consequential teams in Intuit's Finance organization. Our systems underpin Intuit's quarterly close, earnings release, and external reporting processes. We operate at the pace of a public company's financial calendar with the complexity of a multi-segment, global business.

The Staff BSA joining this team will have direct line-of-sight to Intuit's CFO and CAO organizations, work alongside Finance leadership on transformation initiatives that matter to the business, and have a platform to build toward a Director-level career trajectory in Finance Systems or Finance Transformation.

Intuit's Finance organization is investing meaningfully in AI, automation, and global capability development. This role sits at the center of that investment.
