We are seeking a dynamic, Senior General Accounting Manager. In this role the Senior General Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and managing the general accounting team, ensuring the integrity of the ERP system, and providing timely and accurate financial information that will assist management and business partners in making sound operational and strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is adaptable with strong finance and accounting acumen and has strong communication skills and the ability to interact with and build productive working relationships with various levels, functions, and teams. This role will report directly to the VP, Global Accounting and Treasury coupled with significant partnering with other business partners.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, manage and create accountability for the general accounting team with direct oversight over the general accounting team. Manages the performance of team members, including hiring, coaching, disciplining, and terminating in compliance with Intricon policies and state and federal regulations. *
- Responsible for, and complete understanding of, global month-end, quarterly, and annual reporting functions, including GL account activity and its impact*
- Ensure the compliance with US GAAP requirements*
- Establish and maintain financial systems and controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company’s value*
- Coordinate with domestic and international finance personnel to ensure global consistency in the application of policies, procedures and internal controls in the gathering of data and processing of transactions*
- Technical accounting leader of the organization. Responsible for understanding new accounting standards, advising on accounting routine and non-routine transactions and prepare technical accounting memorandums to support positions taken.
- Manage weekly global cashflow forecast to meet the Company’s business objectives
- Coordinate and oversee preparation and audit of corporate tax returns and provisions
- Serve as a liaison to external audit teams
- Key member of the accounting team regarding the preparation of historical analysis and analytics, support and preparation of operating plans / budgets
- Ad hoc projects and assignments in support of strategic goals

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- B.A/B.S degree or equivalent experience
- MBA/CPA/MA Preferred
Experience:
- Minimum eight (8) years of public accounting and/or industry experience that includes US GAAP financial reporting and compliance.
- Experience in manufacturing finance and/or accounting required
- Supervisor or Manager experience preferred
Skills:
- Adaptable individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a high EQ
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook & PowerPoint; very strong Excel. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Intermediate knowledge in ERP systems (preferably Epicor).
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively. Must be able to multi-task, manage time well and meet critical deadlines.
- Possess strong managerial, organizational, research, analytical and problem-solving skills.

SALARY RANGE:
The anticipated base pay for this position is: $140,000-$160,000
Intricon is committed to providing competitive total compensation and benefits packages. This listed range is based upon a full-time schedule. This is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. Base salaries are determined by taking a variety of factors in account, including, but not limited to, candidate qualifications, education, geographic locations, market conditions and internal equity.
