Stockroom Staff

SUMMARY

Provide support and clerical duties for manufacturing stockroom and raw/purchased materials and parts control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to the following: 

• • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer, identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
  • Conduct physical inventory, verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Use forklift to receive and deliver freight, pulling consumables and delivering parts.
  • Projects for other departments and various material control functions as needed.  

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education or more preferred; or at least three years related stockroom clerk experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
