Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge management practices to manage technical content across products with an emphasis on consistency, traceability, and accessibility.
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, manuals, API documentation, and application notes
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (e.g., software and hardware engineers) to gather and validate technical information
- Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly content
- Maintain documentation in alignment with product releases and updates
- Organize and improve existing documentation and content structure
- Support internal teams (e.g., support, engineering) with documentation needs
- Follow established documentation standards, templates, and version control practices
- Manage multiple documentation projects and meet established deadlines
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 3–6 years of technical writing experience in a technical environment
- Experience working with technical subject matter experts
- Strong written communication and editing skills
- Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., MadCap Flare, Confluence, Markdown, reStructuredText, or similar)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git or similar)
- Experience in the automotive, embedded systems, or electronics industries
- Experience creating system diagrams or block diagrams to communicate complex concepts
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay)
- Basic understanding of APIs and software development concepts
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Problem-solving ability and adaptability
