Responsibilities:
- Innovate: Develop new materials and conveyance technologies through rigorous testing, design, and manufacturing trials.
- Validate: Lead mechanical testing, failure analysis, and iterative improvements to de-risk new technology.
- Design: Create test methods and product concepts in SolidWorks or Creo, leveraging new material capabilities.
- Collaborate: Gather requirements and align with engineering peers across global teams.
- Execute: Coordinate manufacturing processes including injection molding, extrusion, and machining.
- Engage: Travel (<15%) to customer sites to understand real-world applications and environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's a plus)
- 10 plus years engineering experience in new product development, plastics, conveyor systems, part/system design, and validation/testing
- Strong design-for-manufacturing background
- Self-managed, creative problem-solver with high quality standards and urgency in execution
- Excellent communication skills to simplify technical concepts across diverse teams
- Willingness to travel (<15%) internationally and domestically
