Job Description Software Engineer (SS&C Technologies, Inc.; Windsor, CT): This position will be employed in the specialty occupation of Software Engineer with Intralinks’ technology solutions for the global banking, deal-making and capital markets communities. As pioneers of the virtual data room, SS&C Intralinks enables and secures information flow, facilitating strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and investor reporting. The Software Engineer will utilize Node.js & Java as we are currently designing and developing software for some of our core file sharing and content management collaboration products. This will involve careful analyses, software design, coding, troubleshooting and unit testing. Specific responsibilities include: contributing towards the maintenance of active releases in production and embrace Iterative Development and Agile process principles; partnering with other Intralinks teams to develop a detailed design towards implementation and their dependencies; and reviewing system requirements from Business Analysts and Product team indicating the business needs and functionality of the application. Telecommuting permitted. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 4 years of experience using Java/NodeJs and Object-oriented technologies. Alternatively, will accept Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 1 year of experience using Java/NodeJs and Object-oriented technologies. Must have: Demonstrated ability to develop distributed and concurrent systems (asynchronous programming models, event-driven programming environments). Performance and scalability concepts. Hands-on experience with Java and Node.Js REST API / JSON / XML/ ProtoBuf. Distributed and Concurrent Systems & Micro-service Architecture.
