Land Survey CAD Technician

Intracoastal Land Surveying, PLLC, a well-established company located in Wilmington, NC is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the position of Land Survey CAD Technician to join our dynamic surveying team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing precise and comprehensive CAD drawings and Plot Plans based on field survey data, record documentation, architectural plans, and company standards. Your experience in Land Surveying and Drafting will be instrumental in translating survey measurements into accurate digital representations, ensuring project accuracy and efficiency. • Prepare detailed CAD drawings and Plot Plans from survey data using Carlson Software, GIS websites, Microsoft Excel, Word and other industry standard software.
• Prepare topographical maps, site layouts, boundary surveys, and plot plans with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to interpret field data and incorporate design specifications.
• Update existing drawings to reflect changes or corrections based on new survey information or project modifications.
• Maintain organized digital files of all survey drawings, schematics, and related documentation for easy access and review.
• Ensure all CAD work adheres to industry standards, project requirements, and company standards.

• Experience in Carlson and other software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel & Word.
• Strong understanding of land surveying principles and related field practices.
• Knowledge of construction processes and how to translate field measurements into accurate digital models.
• Ability to interpret survey data accurately and convert it into detailed CAD drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other.
