Intracoastal Bank is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to join our dynamic banking team.
As an Operations Support Specialist, you will provide a wide range of support to the Bank Operations Officer with the bank’s daily fraud, operations, and compliance function. This position is also responsible for assisting, monitoring, and processing items related to Deposit Operations, Deposit Compliance, and BSA, while assisting all other Bank departments.
This job is ideal for someone who is dependable, adaptable/flexible, detail-oriented, autonomous/independent, and has a high stress tolerance.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and address non-post, stop pays, positive pay
- Review fraud using Verafin software
- Process EFT disputes, check adjustments/chargeback items, large Item returns
- Review File Maintenance
- Review mobile and merchant capture deposits
- Handle incoming and outgoing wire processing
- Act as liaison for banking center/client
BSA Duties
· Review AML/BSA alerts on Verafin software
· Monitor accounts for CTR and SAR reporting
· Monitor and review CDD Alerts
· Monitor and review 314(a) and Watch List Alerts
· Manage cases
Regulatory Compliance
· Assist with Regulatory Reporting
· Assist with Audit Functions to ensure proper operational and functional controls and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
· Assist with coordinating all regulatory examinations and audit work.
· Ensure compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as applicable state and federal banking regulations
· Assist in compliance monitoring using Verafin software.
Other Operational Duties
· Assist with Levy, Garnishment and Subpoena processing and data collection.
· Research Requests and other duties as needed.
· Provide support to branch staff; point of contact for escalation of operational issues.
· Draft, as needed, new procedures and provide updates to existing procedures for the purpose of streamlining
· Conduct training in all areas of operations and provide backup for all areas of operations ensuring coverage as needed.
· Provide effective customer service and assist in resolving problems within given authority.
· Provide back up to all other Deposit Operations Specialists.
· Responsible for special projects as needed.
· All other tasks, responsibilities or duties, as directed by management.
Minimum Starting Pay: $50,960 annually ($24.50 per hour)
Requirements

Required Experience:
· Highschool diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED.).
· Three to five (3-5) years of related experience.
Required Skills and Abilities:
· Perform tasks quickly and accurately.
· Basic mathematics.
· Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
· Thorough understanding and application of all policies, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the work of a Deposit Operations Specialist.
· Operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals.
· Effectively manage time as related to daily tasks.
· Solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
· Prioritize multiple demands in a high-pressure environment while maintaining profession demeanor.
· Flexibility to adapt to changing business priorities.
Required Exertion and Physical Requirements
· Use of Hands and Fingers: For tasks like typing, writing, using a computer.
· Speaking/Communication: Clearly, often sharing detailed or complex information with others.
· Vision and Hearing: Normal for reviewing documents, using equipment, and taking part in conversations.
· Physical Strength: Most of the work is done while sitting, with some standing and walking. Occasionally, you may need to lift or move items weighting up to about 20 pounds.
