Financial Analyst

An established Aerospace & Defense manufacturer in the Greater Long Island area is seeking a Finance Manager / FP&A Lead to oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a multi-site international business unit. This high-impact role partners directly with senior leadership to drive strategic decision-making, streamline financial operations, and support continued growth.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead annual financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
• Consolidate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results across multiple entities.
• Perform deep-dive analysis on headcount, expenses, capital investments, and indirect rates.
• Support program reviews, risk assessments, and long-term financial modeling.
• Drive process improvements and system integrations (SAP BPC, Visual Finance, etc.).
• Partner cross-functionally with Program Management, BD, Engineering, and Accounting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and deliver accurate corporate reporting.
• Present actionable insights and recommendations to executive leadership.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (MBA preferred).
• 6 years of progressive FP&A or corporate finance experience — ideally in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience with government contracts (CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, T&M, FFP) and indirect rate management.
• Strong technical expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems (SAP BPC, Visual).
• Confident communicator capable of influencing at all levels of the organization.
• Track record of identifying inefficiencies and driving measurable improvement.
