Description:This role oversees the Company’s Training Department and ensures the delivery of high-quality, compliant training on specialized instruments and programs. Equally important, this leader will expand the reach and profitability of the Company’s training and certification offerings, developing strategies to grow revenue, strengthen partnerships, and enhance our position as the industry’s training authority.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & OperationsLead and mentor the Training Department staff and contract trainers to ensure consistent delivery, professional quality, and regulatory compliance.Oversee scheduling, curriculum updates, certification processes, and student support.Manage department budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.Business Development & Revenue GrowthDevelop and execute strategies to grow training and certification revenue, including pricing models, bundling with product sales, and expanding online delivery.Partner with Sales and Marketing to promote training as a core component of the Company’s brand and value proposition.Identify opportunities to expand training reach through representative trainers, partnerships, and digital learning channels.Expand the current training product line to include synergistic offerings that complement the Company’s core business, such as OSHA safety and compliance training, workplace impairment awareness programs, and supervisor reasonable-suspicion training.Program Development & ComplianceMaintain expertise in DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40, NRC Rule 10 CFR Part 26, and related DOT Operating Agency regulations governing breath alcohol testing.Ensure all training materials, certifications, and instructor qualifications meet applicable federal and state requirements.Update training programs and platforms to reflect new technologies, instruments, and regulations.Serve as an expert resource for customers, regulators, and industry groups on the Company’s training and certification standards.Industry EngagementRepresent the Company at industry events, conferences, and regulatory boards.Serve as a speaker, trainer, or thought leader to promote the Company’s commitment to quality and compliance.Build and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry partners, and customers.Requirements:QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.5 years of experience in technical or compliance training (preferably in regulated industries such as transportation, healthcare, or safety testing).Demonstrated success in growing training or certification programs as a business unit or revenue stream.Understanding of federal and state regulations governing workplace drug and alcohol testing programs, strongly preferred.Exceptional leadership, presentation, and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and CRM tools a plus.Willingness to travel up to 20% for conferences, customer visits, or training delivery.Success ProfileYou’re a blend of trainer, strategist, and business builder; someone who can lead a small team, understand compliance-driven industries, and transform training into a key driver of customer loyalty and revenue growth.
